About us.
We are an Information Technology Company dedicated to helping the businesses in New Zealand and Australia, with all their Software development and Software and Database maintenance needs.

JM Software was formed in May 1997 as Jay Mistry contract software development & support and subsequently Registered in the name of JM Software Development Limited in April 2000. Prior to May 1997 Jay worked in an Electric Lamp Manufacturing company in South Wellington as QA Officer. Jay started developing applications since 1987 using MS-Dos 3 and GWBasic. He subsequently started developing in Turbo-Basic, Turbo-Pascal and finally Turbo/Borland C for QA Systems, Production Planning, MRP, Packaging System. Since 1992 Jay started developing in MS Access, since 1995 in Visual Basic, since 1998 with SQL Server database.

We are an New Zealand Owned and Operated Company managed by the two Directors and founders of the business, Jay and Chandrika Mistry.

We can develop custom applications for your needs. Especially if we're working on your projects and we need something special--Well, we'll make something. We would go into more detail on what we're working on.

We can also convert your existing Paradox, FoxPro or any other ODBC compliant backend databases to Access 2000/XP or SQL Server 2000/2005 database, or your existing Access backend databases to SQL Server 2000/2005 database, and create new front-end applications in Delphi 2006, Visual Basic or Access 2000/XP. Using SQL server as backend database gives a very good performance because we only use stored procedures to query and update data.

We use ADO as our preferred data access component, which is the current Microsoft standard.
